The singer, 24, poked fun at the situation at this year's ceremony while accepting her prize for Best British Single for her Bond soundtrack Skyfall.
Stepping into the spotlight: Adele poked fun her
acceptance speech at last year's Brit Awards when she was cut off by
show producers and recorded a video message this year after winning the

However, Adele was given a better chance to express her gratitude this year by recording a video message which played live at the glamorous event.
Not a happy lady: Adele shows her anger at last
year's Brit Awards after getting cut short during her acceptance speech
for Best British Album
'Sorry I can't be with you tonight but I'm in LA rehearsing for the Oscars.
'I don't want to keep you too much because I don't want to interrupt the best album speech at the end of the night.'
Court jester: Host James Corden made light of
last year's situation and joked that he was unsure if Adele had finished
her acceptance speech for her prize this year
Ahead of this year's event, Universal UK Chief Executive and Brits Chairman David Joseph promised to give Adele her moment to shine at the awards.
He told The Guardian: 'How can you take an artist who has made the biggest cultural impact musically this country has seen globally for some time and cut her off in the middle of her speech?
'I very much to this day question what was happening in that control booth. I can hint something is going to happen this year to rewrite that wrong.'
Still on top: Adele, who has won many awards in
the past, looked pleased to win the award for Best British Single this
year but was unable to make the Brit Awards as she is in America ahead
of the Oscars
