She's got her hands full: Hilary Swank juggles flowers and a pastry box as she takes on meaty role as Lou Gehrig's patient in You're Not You

She is bound to inspire tears from cinemagoers as a terminally ill woman in forthcoming film You're Not You.
But as she filmed the George C Wolfe drama in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Hilary Swank was remarkably upbeat.
The 38-year-old actress was seen carrying a bouquet of flowers and a pastry box as she walked on set.

Presumably working on early scenes for the movie, about a woman suffering from ALS - or Lou Gehrig's disease - Hilary joined crew members for another day of work.

The actress was dressed in black slacks, a grey sweater and tweed blazer, paired with suede shoes in mustard yellow.

Her hair was swept halfway back from her face, and bangs cut to hang just above her eyes.

You're Not You co-stars Emmy Rossum, as a self-absorbed college student whose life is changed when she meets Swank's character, and becomes her caregivier.

Josh Duhamel, Ali Larter and Frances Fisher will also feature in the project, adapted from the novel by Michelle Wildgen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fisher will play Swank's domineering mother, while Larter will play one of her best friends.

The film is scheduled for a 2013 release.

Swank is also currently filming TV drama Mary & Martha.

The telemovie, co-starring Sam Claflin, James Woods, Frank Grillo and Beatrice Miller, follows two mothers who lose their sons to malaria.

It is also set for a 2013 release.
